A remodeled A-frame with two large decks in the tranquil Tahoe woods, this cozy 4BR is just a short walk from Heavenly's California Base Lodge. This superb locale is perfect for hiking and other day adventures and features a gas barbecue and a hot tub on the deck, where you can relax and gaze out on the forest views. Pet friendly so bring the furry family members.
This home accommodates a family of 10 if children are included. It cannot host more than 6 adults. This applies 24/7.
Local Tip: You can’t get much closer to the Heavenly California Base Lodge which is located on Saddle Road & Wildwood Avenue. Right across from the Base Lodge parking lot is Himmel House which is a great restaurant for German Style food & beer. Nearby Ski Run Boulevard meets the lake at the other end of the street.

Cozy up by the enclosed fireplace, watch a movie on the Smart TV, or start a foosball tournament upstairs w/family & friends. Dining area is open to the living room & seats 8, plus 3 at the kitchen peninsula.
The chef of the group will love this fully stocked kitchen. The forest views in this kitchen make for a serene work space. Or become more immersed in nature by stepping outside to BBQ on the deck.
The perfect post isn’t complete without a comfy place to sleep & at The Gunbarrel Den you have 4 BDs to choose from. 2 upstairs, 2 downstairs.

Pets: 1-2 dogs allowed w/pre-approval, additional fee required. No other animals allowed. Bring a crate if you plan to leave a dog unattended. Dogs are not allowed on furniture or in/on beds. Any barking or behavior that bothers neighbors is not allowed. You will be responsible for extra cleaning charges for hair on furniture, pet stains, dog droppings, & any damage caused by dog(s).
For 30+ day stays, you can cancel your reservation up to 60 days prior to your arrival date & receive a full refund. Cancellations or modifications made within 60 days of your arrival will not be refunded.

Walk to CA Lodge is uphill, and not close enough to be practical in ski boots. RNR was great to work with. Check in and check out were seamless, and they responded quickly to requests.

If you have a little time and don't mind a walk you can walk down to get groceries. It wasn't ski season when we were there, but very conveniently located by the Ski resort. The kitchen is super well stocked in terms of pots, pans, dishes, etc. There is little space to store your dry good groceries though. Found a cracked toilet seat upon arrival and property mng had maintenance come right out to fix it. Super responsive management. Hot tub and hammock a great place to hang out.The only thing I wish there was - dedicated WFH space. I know this is not the purpose of the rental but if you are planning on a longer stay and need to WFH just know that there isn't a dedicated office space and you will have to improvise.

The location was perfect, it was very close to the ski resort which made it very convenient to hit the slopes. The hot tub was a great way to relax after a long day on the mountain. The rental management team was amazing, they were very responsive and helpful. The property gave me a sense of being home, it was comfortable and well-equipped with all the amenities I needed. I also appreciated how close it was to downtown restaurants and retail stores. Overall, we had an incredible experience and I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a great vacation rental in Lake Tahoe.
